Vaquero with 13” Ultimate coil

Just added a 13” Ultimate coil to my Vaquero. Having issues with the ground balance today, don’t seem to be able to ‘go negative’ sufficiently to GB the machine. Anyone got any thoughts????

hello, i had that with a laser detector and in the end i sent to pentechniks to get balanced and only used the up graded coil, made a much better working depth, finds/ etc etc

Pentechnic’s advise that the full range of GB avialiable on the Vaq is that which can be obtained as supplied with the manual GB control. Coil appears incompatible, for whatever reason. Shall be sending it back.

Have you tried:

Lower the sensitivity a bit

Gb in discrimination mode

I may be wrong but try with sens around 6 it may help.

Yup, played around with it a fair bit on different settings, just wasn’t getting anywhere so have returned it for full refund
