Discovery 2200 - Rechargeable batteries ?

Post by DannyP »

Hi all,

I have recently bought a Bounty Hunter Discovery 2200 which takes 9V alkaline batteries (non heavy duty) and was thinking about buying some rechargeable batteries and a rechargeable dock. Anyone got any recommendations of some decent and reasonable batteries and dock (Amazon preferred if possible)? I don't ideally want to continue paying for throwaways.

Many Thanks,
Dan

While NiMH batteries will work fine, they tend to have poor reliability, probably because they have 7 cells inside them. One fails, the whole battery fails.
I haven't tried them (yet) but Lithium PP3's seem to get good reviews, and they have excellent mAh capacity. and only 2 cells internally. The main brand people like is EBL, who seem to produce decent quality stuff at reasonable prices. You should be able to find bundles of 2 or 4 batteries plus charger on the usual Amazon/eBay etc retailers.
