Very dry... what settings?

Evening Team XP,
I’ve not been out much recently but hoping for a morning tomorrow .... it’s very dry where I am and I only have roughly ploughed land waiting to be drilled with stuff for this season’s cover crop to go on... so I’m just wondering if you more experienced xp (deus) users have any advice for these dusty conditions!

The accepted wisdom is that higher frequencies are more effective on dry soil. I generally run 18kHz, but haven't made the leap to HF coils yet, and my black coils aren't the X35s, so I don't know if there's any benefit to going higher than that

My permission is disked at the mo and there’s no moisture in the top 4/6”. It’s summer scorched already I’ve moved from freq29 to 54 on hot at the mo. It’s picking up a lot more smaller surface stuff but will still find deeper stuff easily enough. I would try 29 then 54 and see if you see a difference.
Prepare to dig lots and lots of coke on 54.
I have no controller so can’t see the xy screen to avoid it.
This all pins on you have hf coil? I can’t temember!
Otherwise just try a higher freq if you have the standard coil.

Totally agree, slowly slowly. If only I could. When I’m not rushing and have time I seem to swing slower and find more. I know what to do, I just can’t do it

Thanks Me and my boy - had quite a good day actually on Hot 17khz 35x 11" reactivity down to 2.5 - I quite like that adjustment! Hope all well
