Yeah, but the coverage is pants on Google! There's only a small percentage of the country that has wartime imagery :(

Thanks very much for the advice, I dont mind at all, I am a complete novice!! I had to pick you up on this comment though, as a serving engineer in the RAF we would never do this!!! ;) ;) :D :D

On the airfield I have found the A/C gun butts, the 'spectacle' dispersals, air raid shelters, and AAA gun pits. As of yet I can see where the billets and mess were, but maybe the RAF Museum will come up with the plans.

LOL ! I am sure you don't, but experience has shown they certainly did back then.......Frequently as well judging by the amount of stuff I find behind them !
