a point of interest for everyone, the big silver ring was exactly the same number on the meter as a ringpull, it was a slightly lower sound though.
i realized a while back that you have to dig any signal that you arn't sure about, i use a long handled scoop and when you get into a rythym, its amazing how quick you can dig a find up and move onto the next.
i'm afraid we all dig junk, and i read somewhere that for every good find you make you have to dig 70 to 100 ringpulls!
of course there are very gifted detectorists and they seem to have a natural gift for looking in the correct places. they have enough patients to stay at the bottom of the beach for less and better finds, but i'm afraid i get a bit bored and do a bit of coinshooting for an hour or two.
the thing i like about beach detecting is the beach is allways different everytime i go there and i try and beat the beach,i think where have you moved things to today, try new places, sometimes good, sometimes bad, but allways good fun.
