silly question,when the tide goes out to maximum, how long does it stay at its maximum low ? Thank You, Vic

Depends really where you are, but approx 20-25 mins max
1hr before LW and 1 hr after LW the tide is at it's slowest and weakest
It's at its strongest and quickest between 3 and 4hrs before HW and Before LW

To add to Saki's reply don’t forget that the height of HW and LW changes daily as well, don’t go thinking what happened last weekend will be the same as the next. Keep safe.

I swear by this website. I've not detected on a beach yet, but just for taking the Little Viking down to play in the sand.

It gives times, LW height HW height and a basic graph to go with it!

The tide never stops two high and low a day. It constantly either coming in or going out

I does slow down at either end. However it depend a lot on the gradiant of the beach wheither you will notice it.

I was very nearly caught out on a flat beach as a kid, tide almost kept up with us heading back in
