Lepe Beach Hampshire

Hi all,

Have noticed very recently that Lepe Beach is not showing as purple on the Crown Estate foreshore map and I'm sure it was a few weeks ago.

Wondering if anyone has any info re what's happening there?

Is Lepe out of bounds anyway as it is in the New Forest and no detecting is permitted, I know of several people that have been moved on from Lepe for detecting.

Were they in the park or on the foreshore?

Must confess I haven't been there yet as we only acquired "our" detector a couple of weeks ago when my son had his birthday!!!

Might head a different direction if we go out this weekend.

On the foreshore and were told by the warden? or somebody of authority to move. I know the NF is out of bounds, no detecting anywhere.
Mind you, I was on West Wittering beach and strayed around to the National Trust land area, still on the beach I may add, and I was told by a nice young lady I was not permitted to detect on their beach!........No purple band there!
