BUDDY WANTED!!!!!!

Post by Noxious85 »

Hi my name is Cj and I'm from portland near weymouth. I'm 32 and been metal detecting since 2003 and currently use a minelab explorer xs. I love the thrill of the unknown and the fact that everything you find tells it's own unique story. I have had some very interesting finds over the years and I'm hoping to find more in the coming years. I have other hobbies including Djing and getting out on my mountain bike. My family is also close to my heart and really love spending time with them. Anyway hope you get a rough idea about me and my life. Hope to hear from someone soon. I love detecting by myself but miss the banter/fun/competitiveness of detecting with someone else. Thanks for your time CJ

Hello ....I hope you have some joy finding a buddy. A lovely part of the world to detect and so steeped in history. With the amount of wrecks off Chesil Beach I wonder what may end up washed ashore!
The best holiday we ever had was on Portland. We stayed with Fran and Les at the Old Higher Lighthouse. Brilliant view from the tower through the old WW2 navy gun-sight they had up there. Lots of brilliant rockpools and we loved the history of the old Pirate museum and the links with Moonfleet (the book). Our son was only 11 when we stayed and it was a perfect adventure holiday at that age.
Whenever I hear The Shipping Forecast I think of Fran beetling outside to check her rain-gauge and other things and the phoning the Met Office.
