Hey Alfred ...
Where were you at the time of your loss, left or right as you look out to sea of the River Cuckmere? Or maybe you were much further along he beach towards Seaford Head or in the other direction towards the Birling Gap?
For anyone to realistically help, you will need to be a little more descriptive of the area you think you lost your ring. Severn Sisters beach covers a vast area, down to the Birling Gap and beyond ...
This is an just an example of the Seven Sisters walks in the area:
I know the area well, but live in East Anglia so I am unlikely to be able to carry out a search for you.
I do hope you have some luck and get you ring returned.

Please not everyone:
Access to the beach at Birling Gap is currently closed following cliff falls on Saturday 4 August and will be reviewed daily.

The views are just awesome. We enjoyed a strenuous but enjoyable 32KM walk from Eastbourne along the Seven Sisters and back again.

Well actually Sunray I don't think it is wise at all for Alfred.. or anyone else... to be more precise about the location on an open forum.
The fact he has given a rough location is enough at this stage and no doubt anyone in that area of the country who wants to help will get in touch and they can go from there.

*Big Smile* Well that's me told then init
I got to say I didn't ask for any specifics - its a massive area [hence the 32 Km comment] I wouldn't expect people to travel too far to help out in such a case, therefore thought I was being rather helpful to Alfred by sort of getting a better idea of a very rough location.
I do read all and respect your posts LB - but I still believe it would help Alfred to get some kind of response if there was a bit more info ...
Cheers Littleboot ...
[Please see this post as a helpful one, as it has never been my intention to criticise]
This is only a small part of the Seven Sisters area ...

Gawd for heavens sake no infighting please and give the OP a chance and preserve the integrity of the voluntary finding service. . There are many detectorists along the Sussex coast - a simple PM to the OP by someone local will identify the location more precisely...

Indeed so. I simply was thinking in view of some recent find request posts where details have had to be taken out afterwards by mods to protect the posters interests.... and others where people have had concerns about the security of information of a detecting nature in terms of locations....So it was me really warning Alfred not to be too precise in giving out details at this stage and on the open forum.
That's all.
That's all.
