What do you do with phones found in the sand?
Recently dug up a iPhone from the wet sand which has clearly been in for a few tides!
Do you just put them in recycling.

If a phone is in good condition how do you return to owner?
Thanks.

Charge it up and phone a few of the numbers, preferably starting with ones like 'mum'. ::g

Remove the battery.
Dry it and the phone out slowly over the course of a month, or more.
Replace the battery.
Then try to see if it powers up and dial the most used contact like home or Mum etc.
If the battery is dead, then, without buying a charger to get some charge in there I can't see any other way. Even then the unit may be beyond recovery.
