Controller issue ?

Just put controller etc on there bi monthly change....fine...2 hrs later all full....BUT ....smart the control now has a faint oblong on the LCD screen just off centre about 20mm in size...darkest on the outer lighter to the middle ....thought it's my eyes....Mrs looked ...nope ...more noticeable with back light on...still just seeable with light off....havnt used since end of last year on a fine dry day and keeped indoors about 2 ft from radiator where it's been since I've had it.(4 yrs) ....machine still seems to work though...any thoughts please rl;.

Hi Junior, it sounds like a faulty LED You are in luck though as they come with a 5 years parts and labour guarantee.

Part of me think they plant some electronic gremlins in stuff with a out of warranty timer on it ...o just out of warranty boooom unlucky

Talked to Nigel at regtons.. .. looking like an out of warranty but send in proof of purchase and they will see what they can do..... worst case new led screen about £45 plus labour so not as disastrous as I thought....

.... on xp site.... dark screen easy fix .. . """ if after an update your screen does black go to configurations then contrast then turn it down.... mine wasn't as bad as the vid there's was nearly black ... mine woz on 10 and woz getting an oblong on it ... turn down to 5 superb.....but why it must have been on update v5.1 or 5.2..803....it's never happened from v3.2 and upwards .... cheers Richard ..
