I have a Deus Lite coming next week

Post by Paulrox »

So excited. I have a Deus Lite coming next week . S/h the stem and coil are 2017 and the WS4 are 2018. It will be so good for me. I mainly do dry beach and bit of wet and walk or have small bus ride as I have no car and can’t travel far on public transport . My current detector Is an XLT which is really good but it is not so compact to travel with .

I am so looking forward to getting out with this and enjoying the summer evenings .
My cousin will get a shock when he visits this year as I only had whites last time , but I was impressed by his full Deus which I got to use .

Hoping to get a nice backpack , from the xp website the deus is supposed to be 26.3 “ inches when folded so hope to pick up something from mountain warehouse or ebay. I read on forums some guys used 24” backpacks so will be interesting to find one. I have a black Ada scoop with a short handle too it measures about 15” so I should have a real compact stealth rig for the bus/walk.

Going to be a very exciting week 😀

On occasion I've also put the Deus in a smallish backpack when I've got a bit of a walk, though I always only use a full size heavy duty spade or sand scoop for the extra leverage. I hope it works out fine on the beach for you. ::g

Welcome to the deus club ::g They are, as you have seen, a great machine with impressive ‘folding down to a tiny size’ capabilities ::g

You might find this link useful as Hans carries his in a rucksack. You might want to consider finding a cover for your spade if going on public transport, both for safety (they are sharp as you know) and to reduce the issues with mud and dirt.

Ace thanks both of you . I usually clean my stuff down before putting it in the bag , I mainly go dry sanding on the beach and give my scoop a wash and brush with a paint brush. I have 2 scoops a ful size one for serious stuff and a small one about 15 inches for stealthy travel. I am a fan of beach badger and Paul cee on youtube who both use a Deus on cleethorpes beach where I lived as a kid .
I’m going to look at that video now , that pack looks ace . Thanks again. Best wishes ....Paul

That video was cool, that guy had everything . I like my paintbrush and a microfibre towel for a quick cleanup , I also use a towel to protect the detector from knocking against other stuff. That soap in a bottle is real useful too in case like this guy you fancy something to eat, although I am on a diet now ,so my days of taking pizza on a hunt are at an end lol
