Gold posy ring declared treasure

A posy ring I found 18 months ago declared treasure by the coroner last week. British museum want to acquire it. Now waiting for valuation . Inscription reads I HOPE IN TIME . Has been dated between 1550-1650

That really is a very beautiful ring. Surprised they classed it as treasure though.
Hope you get more than a couple of hundred quid to split with the landowner! 8-| ;f

Its only classed as Treasure if a museum wants to acquire it, otherwise you get it back
