PreLockdown Silver and Gold (just).

Post by fred »

I have been pretty busy on parent duty recently but have managed to get out a few times. With the weather being what it has been you would have expected rings to be jumping out. Despite braving hurricane force winds and taking an horrendous soaking in the dark I've only has a few bits of silver and one solitary kids gold ring (1.2 grams dated 1971).

The big silver ring was the most impressive of the lot and the signal nearly blew my ears off, being every bit of an inch deep. It's foreign and has 2 small diamond in it and it was obviously very expensive when new.

The least impressive was the Millwall ring, which was probably thrown away by a disgruntled fan! [88/] It came up from very deep indeed and gave a very iffy irony signal that had something about it that said dig me, so I obliged. Also on that particular day when I arrived at the crack of dawn there was a film crew out and some poor sod running around almost starkers through smoke dragging a long billowing red length of cloth behind him. It was about minus 5 and I hope that the result was worth having to have his tackle welded back on for. [88/]

The current advice that detecting is permitted during lockdown has put me in a real quandry. I had already announced the list of major jobs that were going to be achieved over the next month. Backing out now to resume business as normal is really not going to go down well at all. [62/]

There has got to be a bloody big Iron signal (body) under the Millwall one, they just left the ring to let the ammers know who did it .... [49/]

Sell some finds Fred and pay someone else to do the jobs/chores and get out detecting to give them space to work safely.👍🏻
