Cleaning HF coils ?

I have recently purchased an XP ORX set up with the HF coil and I was wondering on cleaning it after use. Can I wash the coil under the tap to get the dirt/sand off or would that ruin it?

No problem with washing off the coil, you might want to every now and then take the coil cover off and clean any dirt and sand that's collected between them.
