Bottle dumps Rivers around Exeter Devon.

Post by ringotango »

Morning All,
First post on here so thanks for looking!
I used to go mudlarking with my kids on the Thames when I lived in London, have been down in Devon now for about 5 years and want to get back into 'treasure hunting' again.
I/we have a small but interesting collection of codd bottles, coins, musket balls, marbles, pipes, etc which I thought I'd post pictures of up here to show those interested but can't work out how to!! (if someone can tell me how I'll post them up).
We used to take 'newbie' mudlarkers out on the Thames to show them the ropes and I wondered if anyone's out there that would be willing to do the same with this 'newbie' here (me!!) in some rivers or old dumps.
My son found a victorian medicine bottle complete with stopper in a bush during one of our local 'lockdown' walks and it's made us keen to get back into it all again.
Have tried my local rivers with no joy so far!!
Thanks again for looking.

Hi Chris, great to have you on board! I have moved your topic to the Bottle Digging section as that means you will get more readers and more advice. We do have members here who are very interested in bottle digging and a very good friend of mine is memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=20586 who I am sure will be delighted to chat.
All the best and good luck, Liam :;@
