Explorer xs carry case, (snowboard bag)

I've bought a snowboard carrycase for my Explorer xs, mine has I believe the xs front part of housing and the back part which also carries the cam lock and housing prone to splitting on the xs, is off a safari I believe, so figured a carry case that can carry it whole, and not have to constantly disassemble the detector might save it in long run, do safaris have the same cam lock problem as the ol xs?, waterproof controlled cover next for it, then I'll be back out digging.
