Scarborough beaches

Post by Toyota »

Hi, I'm new to metal detecting, and due to move to Scarborough soon, I can see that only a small part of the coastline is Crown...are the Private beaches easy to get permissions for?

Thanks for your time ๐Ÿ˜

Put "Scarborough" into the search engine l;/ .

I think some details may come up. Try the word "beach" too.

No permit required for Scarborough beaches, get yourself down, North or South Bays. Good luck. [81/]
Maybe these maps and legends?

Thank you ๐Ÿ˜ I was expecting sarcastic replies ๐Ÿ˜‚
I collect coins and stamps, so I'm really excited to finally discover some coins for myself to add to my collection, I've read sooo much information my brain is leaking out...so I'm learning as I go along, so I know about what's classed as Treasure, Grid referencing, Artillery โ€œWhat 3 words"
I have my NCMD card, I know it's not necessary but I can see its perks,

I have a Nokta Simplex and PulseDive,
Finds and kit pouch,
Power Bank,
A shovel,
A bucket to push myself off incase I get stuck in quick sand,
Cheapo sand scoop,
(I'm saving for a decent sand scoop, they're quite expensive ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Is there anything else you can recommend that I've missed out please?

Thanks again

Not really, sounds like you're pretty much good to go, just plenty of patience and application. Good luck. [81/]

Bridlington and Filey are not very far away, give them a go as well. [81/]
