Garrett Ace coils
Does anybody know if the stock coil from a Garrett Ace 400i will fit on a Garrett 200i. My son has bought a 200i but the signals were difficult to read with the stock coil attached. I am going to but a Nel coil for my 400i so hoped I could use the stock coil on his 200i when he visits Thanks in advance.

I had the dd coil off a euro ace on my ace 150 and it made it much more stable especially in wet grass
I also had the ace 400i coil on my 300i and it was much more stable far easier to know good signals and a bit deeper, I'm sure the coils are interchangeable throughout the range, I always found the stock coils to be really troublesome in wet grass and that's the best time to detect they say.
I think you'd notice a good difference in overall performance

Thanks for the advice. I think my plan seems ok then. Nel coil for mine and share the stock coil from the 400i when he visits. Only been detecting about 9 months myself and happy with the 400i for the time being.

My 400i is my second machine and I’ve had it for nearly two years and it’s had a lot of use. It’s not over complicated but on saying that you can change things round a bit and it’s found me some good stuff - Including a tiny silver hammered coin about 9 - 10 inches deep.BrumBez wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 7:11 am Thanks for the advice.
