Z-lynk system

Hi,

I have the z-lynk headphones and pro pointer. But I use an Equinox 600 which isn't compatible.

If I buy the z-lynk wireless system would I have to plug my headphones into the receiver using a cable or will the headphones connect directly to the transmitter (negating the need for the receiver altogether)?
