Lost Gold Earing - Help Required

Hello,
Although i am not the owner of a metal detector I have signed up to request help in finding one of my wife's gold earrings, lost in our back garden in Liverpool.

Probably be better going over the area with a pinpointer and scratch the surface with a plastic card not there then move on.With a detector you might uncover something next to it and make it deeper. i've used my pinpointer to find drop screws and nails in gravel.

If you have the other earing it will help no end as the detectorist can get a good idea of the signal to expect.
