Detecting Scotland's beaches

Post by ROCK HOPPER »

Thanks for the reply from my previous post, what I would like to know is this as I don't detect on dry sand at the top of the beach and mainly do rocks and closer to the low tide mark would this be possible to detect on those beaches.

If it's owned by Crown Estate Scotland then the general rule is that you can detect between mean high and low tide marks. As answered previously though you need to check for any SSSIs etc. beforehand, as any 'protected' sites are out of bounds.
