Hi Daz, welcome to the forum. I have moved your topic from Introduce Yourself to Beaches, Rivers where I am sure you will get lots of useful advice.
Perhaps you can do an introductory post re yourself, where located, machine etc?
Your location will certainly be important as then members may know the beaches closest to you that are legally detectable.
Do check out all the topics on the left. You can also use the Search feature to locate information on places, people, finds, history, machine advice and so on. Good luck, Liam

check with the local county council for that beach. most have a section declaring detectorists ok as long as---
e.g not when nesting birds etc...
obey treasure act etc, declare finds to the council as a 'landowner'
Some beaches are protected / crown land. a bit of research usually turns up the answer for you.
