540 - missing screw, size ?

Hi whilst out today, my Vanquish 540 fell apart!

The screw connecting the rod to the control box came loose, and i've lost it - see photo - anyone know what size screw i need to fix it?

Can't help with the size, but I lost mine too. Fortunately a junk screw I'd dug up saved the day, and is still in there months later.

Fairly sure it's a standard size and thread, so perhaps test a few from your toolbox and you may just find a suitable fit.

I think it’s probably an M4, I’ll try to remember to check tomorrow. If you’re okay with a countersunk crosshead screw, I can pop a few in the post on Tuesday.

It's an M4 * 10mm thread.

The original is a dome head stainless Allen screw, you can get them on Ebay in packs of 10 for a couple of quid.

I've only got some zinc plated countersunk crosshead screws in that size, you're welcome to a few but you might want to go the Ebay route for authenticity.

Looks like a common problem. l replaced mine with an M4 gutter bolt as thats all l had.
