Lead.....oh no!

Post by Stilllost »

On a new location for me, behind a grade 2 listed cottage, I found yesterday a 4" piece of solid lead.
The land owner is fascinated and curious, as I am really.
What is it doing there?
So far the field is fairly quiet, the good signals i receive in Coin and Jewellery, are accompanied by a "thump" which suggests to me, dont dig.

The lead was more positive.

I havent detected for a year or two, so Im recoonecting with my Safari.
On a dig 3 weeks ago 2 buttons gave a good signal too.

Without a picture your question is a bit vague..
Lead could have been lost there 100 years ago or 1000 years ago.
