1884 Canadian Semi Centennial Coin / Medal / token

An odd find for a meadow in Norfolk. Looks like it was turned into a piece of jewellery, probably a pendant.

Just finished some electrolysis. You can now see a bit of the silver colouring which I presume was silver plating. I had overlooked that this area was surrounded by American airbases during the War so possible this came over with a Canadian aircrew ….

That seems likely - aircrews wouldn't have been there before the start of WW1 but it is conceivable that someone would have brought it with them as a good luck charm - we may never know, but it's a very nice and unusual find!
