Not been past this year

Last time it had several meter a sand

There's a few places

Talacer ww2 bullets, bullets, bullets 303 ,50cal watch out for the 20mm there explosive but most have rotted away with a bit of modern back to George VI coins and jewelry, but you have to dig an enormous amount of scrap

Conwy musket balls, snider, Martin Henry, bits of handgrande Victorian coins, military buttons, whistles, some of the 303 are interesting, rounded tip, nickel plated, dumb dumb, no lead at the front, odd lengths. A few full metal jack 9mm and .45, but no jewelry, lot of steel scrap

I like Kimmel bay, very hard going walking and digging in the pebbles, you can go for ages without a signal, but there are hot spots, coins and fishing weights

Can be dangerous after dark, or was a few years ago, dug use, needles, muggings, most people are friendly, only had one dodgy moment at talacer, a group of teenagers tried to sneak up behind me,

Rhos on sea was probably the most varied fines, not been for several years, I believe the council has altered the beach

Never done Llandudno, looks interesting

I did read somewhere that Deganwy produces Roman finds from the harbour at low tide but it's a quagmire, and probably dangerous, out of bounds, not true, and all of the rest!

I thought Conwy estuary was a SSSI on geological grounds,

I might be wrong don't take my word on it

It was about 10 years ago when I checked, there was no mention of metal detecting in the documents but digging was prohibited,

Everything use to be in one place, but searching on Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) website is now more complicated, you also have to search via the English names and Welsh

Hi,
I live next to Rhyl Beach and when i'm out on my weekly walks with my camera i often see Detectorists, especially as the sea defence scheme is ongoing for the next year or more and big diggers often moving sand around and uncovering older areas by the late Pier
