Northumberland Holiday .

Post by Powie62 »

Hi all , this is my first post so here goes .
Just had a great seven days in Northumberland, managed to detect on a few beaches while there .
Cresswell beach near the cafe on the main road , great for fishing weights had twelve plus a two pound coin , saw two other people with detectors there , not sure what they were finding.
Sandy bay where we were staying, very clean beach , had an old pound coin , a small button and a spoon from the river bank, I initially thought the spoon was quite old , but at home with a very strong magnifying glass I can barely make out Chrome plated stainless Sheffield England .
Last beach was Seaton Sluice , free car park with an ice cream van parked there , good start , the beach was slightly better, had two George V half pennies, two five ps two one ps and thirteen fishing weights . Not what you would call great finds but the anticipation of what is under the coil on the next signal is what keeps me going.

Always a bonus when a £2 coin comes up.
