Im Rick, 44 year old father of two. Later back and easy going, love sci-fi & fantasy etc, keen astrophotographer and lover of history.

Hello Rick, A warm welcome aboard the forum
As newcomer to the hobby, my recommendation would be to take a look through the sub forum titles of interest in the blue panel on the left for a good browse. Much exists there providing all the necessary information (including the legal requirements which we are subject to) to ensure a safe and trouble free start to your detecting journey.
This may also be of help... Why is it so difficult to obtain a Permission or Buddy
