Thank the land

Post by Jay jay »

Hope this a new topic
Was just reading a topic about the little brooch that was found
And the sandwich offering lol
So what do you do when you find a decent find?
We all know about the gold dance
About I talking about other finds
Does it just get put in the bag and looked at later
Well for years if I find a nice find I put it in the finds tub
And here's the strangest bit give the ground a finger kiss
As a thankyou
Is this just me ?

That's a nice touch - we should be grateful in some way to the land that feeds our hobby [81/]

I always say thanks to the gods of the fields whenever I find anything🙂 if it's nothing special, like a button I ask the field to try harder please👍It only seems right, after all, they've been looking after it for hundreds of years before they let us find it.

Or, it might just be me being a bit odd😄
