Buckle/strap end for ID please

Post by erm1969 »

Hi, please can anybody shed some light on this artefact? Copper alloy with a loop on one end, two rivets on the reverse for attaching to something else. There is iron staining on the reverse. I can't seem to find anything quite like it online.

Found on sheep pasture on the west coast of Scotland with my Equinox 800.

Thanks for looking.
