Had a quick look around the usual button ID sites and come up with a blank. The second word of the motto appears to be LOYAULTE (French) but can anybody make out the first word?

Quaerite et invenietis
AYMEZ LOYAULTE = Love Loyalty - motto of the Bolton family also known as Pawlet/Paulett family which were the Dukes of Bolton https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_P ... ,_1764.jpg
John Paulett, Marquis of Winchester, garrisoned his house during the Civil War in the reign of Charles I., and held it against Parliament forces for nearly two years. The Marquis, in honour of the principles which drove him, called his house 'Aymez Loyaulte' and caused these words to be written with a diamond upon every glass window, so that he would have a perpetual monument of his loyalty to his Prince. These words have ever since been used by his descendants for their motto.
