Corroded Sestertius(?) Enough left for Emperor?

Post by Rank81 »

Managed 3 hours before rained off today. I believe it's sunny in sione places- grey windy, wet and cold here today. [84/]

Thankfully pulled out a Roman so warmed me up a bit.
VDI 61 on nox 900 from around 5-6 inches on pasture.

Weights 17.5g in current condition so I assume sestertius. There's nothing left on the reverse but some detail left on the obverse with some letters and some of the right facing bust. Was wondering if someone with a better knowledge of Roman coins than myself can identify who it is. Unless too far gone.

The 6 Roman coins off this field so far have ave been 1st to mid 2nd century

Thanks in advance
Neil

Today's settings: Field 1, Multi, 5 tone, all metal, IB 1, rec 5, sens 21

One chunk of a coin.
The Roman equivalent of the Cartwheel Penny.
Only found one Sestertius, which was virtually blank but with no corrosion.
Cheers, [81/]
