Managed to sneak off today for a couple of hours on a new permission , found this lovely silver brooch on pasture , missing the pin at about 5 inch, gave a big high tone 46 ish on the legend.
Can anyone Id the date letter and makers mark please?
I don’t think it’s terribly old .
Thanks In advance.
Ps- I’ve had a look and got a date of 1876 but feel like it’s newer than this?
Nice silver Brooch

Thank you for the replies.
Over 100 years old, I’m happy with that.
It’s going in the collection…

Called a sweetheart brooch, not to be confused with the military version. Made by Able & Charnell (Thomas Able & Walter James Charnell), Birmingham 1902/3.
