my new C-Scope CS4PI arrived last night. The darn thing is so lite; at first I thought that they had sent me an empty package. I am hoping to get two days in at Talacre next week. The first day I will use the Maplins N87KA and then on the second day I will try out the CS4PI. on exactly the same area covered on the first day.
Having read some of the comments about the CS4PI; I wizzed up ino the loft and recovered a set of knee pads that I have never used and then popped into Wilkinsons and bought one of their folding digging tools.
I have noticed that the Maplins machine will sometimes only pick up a small target whilst sweeping in one direction. Shift the sweep by 90 deg and the small target shows up. Is that the same with other detectors? Also the speed of the sweep seems to make a big difference at times.
