no their not live ive just put them back togeather if you look close enough you can see the rifeling grooves on the bullets

Nice finds, there all nice and shinny. the live 50cal are pretty safe to be honset so i wouldn't worrie if you find one :) just pull the head, spray WD40 down the end where the primer sits and leave it for 24. It will be 100% safe afterwards.

That's a copper drive band off a 20 mm projectile

Ah ha. I have some of those.

After seeing your bullets ive just been outside and tried another way of cleaning mine.
Used a brass wire wheel on my bench grinder B-) B-) B-)

I didnt know they could get that shiny, normally use Cillit Bang :D

The more shiny the better B-)
I dip them in acid then I clean and buff them up with a verry fine wire brush on my demel as you can see it does a verry good job
