Beach Help

Post by Oldest Swinger »

Hi we (wifey and me) have decided to take the gkids to the sea side tomorow so wondered if anyone got any ideas for a good day out and some detecting fun along the way (advice on good beaches needed here lol). Also will be using the Ace250 and have read about its bad behaviour on beaches and when I used it on Mablethorpe beach it just went haywire falsing all over the place. So if anyone who is experienced with the Ace on beaches could suggest best settings I would apreciate the tips. Will be going to North Wales, East yorks, Norfolk way or Scarborough/Whitby depends on what advice I recieve here tonight.

Looking for sound advice Paul

the trouble is you will be there during the day when all the other members of the public are. Can be a bit awkward detecting around them, especially if you find something.

Wifey seems to prefer Aberyswyth or Scarborough/Bridlington. And it the gkids detecting Ian hardly a profesional dig lol. All they need is a small area free of peeps and away they go half hour and they bored. If I fancy a go we wont be leaving till later on when all the tourist have left the beach.

sorry I thought you wanted to go 'tecting 8-}

Some nice stretches up around scarborough, if the sun is not hot enough to fry an egg on the pavement it might not be too bad in parts.
