i have seen a few posts from people claiming its not a very good machine for wet sand, i took it to a sand pit when it was raining not to long ago and buried a few coins.. it was a little erratic at first beeping at anything and everything. so i turned the sensitivity down to 1 notch and increased it every so often until i could find the highest sensitivity setting i could get without it going crazy. Once i had found that it seemed like a very good machine.. but that was a sand pit maybe the salt water on the beaches has a different effect?
