well made video, would have liked to hear a clearer bleep from the shilling and to have seen him sweep all around the hole. got some good depth in the machine by the looks of it.
i have no detector!

Daryn was using the V2i in that video. The V3 version is already out there. Gets 3-5" more with the stock coil. The person that actually video'ed that demo has the V3 and passed his machine over the shilling. It's not on the video but he told me he got a banging clear sound from the shilling on his V3.
I already ordered one for testing here in the USA. Will go up against the GPX-4800 in a few tests. We're excited about the discrimination depth.

i have to say the guy in the video seems to know his stuff,it looks like it's a detector for experts due to all the possible settings !
but the tests seem fair and they seem genuine.
it would be interesting to know from people that use this machine. :)
if it's correct it's nice to see a new ,old school detector without a screen to distract you :D

I don't think it's as complex as its knobs would suggest. One is the audio pitch - you'll set that and leave it. There's a fine and coarse ground-balance, rather than a single multiturn one. I think another is fine-tuning of detector frequency (to avoid interference) so you would rarely touch that. Audio volume is obvious.
I'm sure some experience would be useful to extract the limit of performance from it, fine-tuning it for the specific site conditions.

The thread on Geotech1 had developed, it now seems it is a fairly conventional analogue machine, but with the potential of adjusting it to much-higher-than-normal sensitivity. This is rarely useable in most hunting situations, probably why mainstream manufacturers don't bother with it.

When we get our BlissTool V3 with large coil in about 2 weeks - we'll put it through the test and let you know how it performs real world - against the GPX-4800, E-trac and Deus plus some other units for good measure. Any other "conjecture" about it's effectiveness is just that. We will video as much as we can.

I truly don't think this type of detector will replace your turn on and go detector - it's a specialty machine for specific locations that demand what it delivers. Deep detection depth in clean ground far from EMI.

No disrespect to anyone but It's amazing to me that time and time again I see people make comments on forums about this machine and that machine having never seen, touched or used it. I recall there were tons of skeptics when the Deus was first introduced - now's it's the "bees knees" of detectors. I have one and love it. I have an E-Trac and love it. I have an Excalibur and love it. I've used all of these detectors over 200 hours each and know exactly where and under what conditions to use them.

Realistically you need about 50 hours field use to have any sort of expertise. Just my opinion but until you personally use a machine in your conditions you make a fool of yourself voicing your opinion.

I,m looking forward to seeing your findings Barry ny,i,ve just watched the videos on you tube , the machine looks the business on clean pasture...But as the videos are made by the u.k distributer of blisstool i,d like an un biased assessment and comparison tests with other machines from a neutral user........hh Baz.....

They did a video of the hoard test using the newer version V3 with stock coil and also the V2i with the large coil: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Seems like very good results. My unit should be here before end of this coming week.

I also have mine on order but I'm lucky enough to be living close to Bob and Daryn who made the vids.

Bob was kind enough to bring his V3 down for me to try out on one of my farms and I was so impressed I immediately ordered mine the minute I got home.
I have been using the E-trac for the last few months and just couldn't get on with it. I fell in love with the Blisstool V3 within minutes. Old school it may be as far as no display is concerned but the signal absolutely 'banged' out when to dig. So much so, I had to turn my headphone volume down to just about 'on'.
The set-up is not difficult and as far as a machine for depth only, that's wrong as well. You can vary the sensitivity to prioritise desired depths and most types of soil / sand.
I'm no expert here but these explanations are available on a new Blisstool dedicated website.

Just to say I have no connection with anybody involved in the sales or promotion of this product.

I have to agree with Mike.

I got my V3 on Saturday and had a little dig on Monday where it confused the hell out of. Checked out the website and set about my garden the following day. Following the info from the website and video's, I soon got my head round it and I'm 72p richer ;)

I buried a few romans to do a side by side comparison with my Minelab Sov and the results were very favourable in the Bliss direction. I now regret not digging a few thousand whispers over the last 10 years with the Sov. I have to say the Sov just didn't get some of the romans when there was steel nearby but I now understand why the Sov is so highly regarded. It's a great machine.

The fact I found 72p is suprising as my garden is small, full of builders rubbish(nails) and done to death by me and the kids with the sovriegn. That alone suggests the Bliss is finding things the Sov is missing.

Just my tuppence worth.
