Took the detector to the beach for the first time this weekend. It was a beautiful sunny day and I found lots of scrap and a wheel bearing (ID'd by my partner!)

After about an hour I thought nothing of any interest would turn up, then I got a small sharp signal unlike any of the others, it produced my first ever coin ! But it was a 1983 £1.. hey ho carry on.

Ten minutes later I found...another pound coin!

I said to my partner third time lucky, this time I want a pre-decimal

And found a 1928 George v penny :))

That made my day, I am hooked, beach detecting is a great way to lose a few hours [:)
