Visiting Eastbourne - Permit ?

Hi I am visiting Eastbourne for a few days next week.Do I need a permit to detect on the beach.Also does anyone know which areas of the beach might be most fruitful.THANKS

I am sure there are some Sussex beach members on here who can confirm permission, probably still need the Foreshore Permit anyway, I have done some of that stretch to the west, was very busy in Victorian times, Liam ;)
