Scallop shell design...any ideas?
Hi all, found this today....first thoughts was maybe a brooch or a mount of somesort, but now maybe thinking it might be a drawer or wardrobe handle.....what do you reckon?

Possible, but looks a bit to crude for something promotional......no markings on it either....would expect to see copywrite or trademark stamped somewhere...
Nice idea though, didnt think of that.....

Did the Romans use Furniture brass?
You know what the farm i found this has at least 5 known Roman sites surrounding it within a 2 mile radius of it......i am determined to find at least 1 roman item from there.....even if i have to lie....

This looks to be a similar design, though on yours i cannot see anythng to be broken off. Lots of similar items, but I cannot match this. It looks very much like many of the 16th to 17th century mounts of this sort of design.

I'll give you my personal opinion on your artefact, Blackadder. It's a handle from a roman wardrobe. It has a design that it something to do with venus.
Sorry, it's time I took to my bed.

Will I? Won't I? What kind of silly question is that?
