hayling or southsea detecting?

Hi all, failrly new to this hobby and very interested in detecting both hayling and southsea to try my luck. I could really do with some pointers in the right direction both with regards to where on each beach would be a good place to start and when is the best time to start detecting them?

any help would be great im using a sovereign gt

i myself have only just started again.
but i always found on the wet sand as the tide went out dueing the winter as thats where washed up stuff would be.

and in the summer near the top where all the torists are to find what they had lost.

dont forget to get your crown licence for southsea detecting. i beleive only a small part of hayling beach is coverd by this. not sure who the rest is ownd by.

thanks for the fast replys, where abouts is the sunshine holiday club?

i was told by the fairground on hayling might be good
