update on the blisstool

Post by jimbotrucker »

I have managed to get out a few times this week, but only for half hour to an hour.
at first I thought what have I done,,,, digging out nails & bolts, so back to the blisstool forum & take in more input :-/
then last night I had a light bulb moment while watching a video on ground balance & realised where I was going wrong ::g
I still have a lot of hours to put in before I feel I will have control of this m/d but I do think it will be worth it.
this is tonight's finds, a threepenny bit, a small coin, & what looks like a shoe buckle, thought I had found a bracelet but after cleaning I think not.

I suspect the key to this machines depth is its ability to 'reduce' the ground signal, allowing the discrimination to work on deeper targets. So ground balancing is something you have to get right, first.
When you've got the hang of it, it would be great if you could do a few buried target tests similar to those in the promotional videos, such as a sixpence at 10 - 12 inches.
Have fun.

I think the problem I was having tonight was I am used to multitone & the bliss is a single tone unit, once I got used to an echo or crackle meaning iron & coins making a clear ping I was away. just got to get used to sizing things now. I don't give up easily so I will be burying coins in the garden ::g

Auto ground balance is easy and is sufficient in most cases.

The v3 should get a buried sixpence at 10 inches with the gain on 0 !!

1kg of coins was easily detected at 24 inches with gain on 4

Good luck hunting!
