What beach to try in Essex

Post by Daz2511 »

Hi All,

I'm thinking of trying a beach this weekend, what would be the best one to try?

Harwich I know is a port but I guess their will not be many people around?

Frinton or Walton could be many people around but could be more finds?

I have never been to any of these or try a beach before.

Cheers for looking and helping

Hi Daz,
Am fairly sure that quite a lot of Essex coastline is not Crown property. Definately not at Walton on the Naze. I thought about going for beach det license, but not worth travelling that far at £1.38/L...
Worth checking the crown foreshore maps on their website.

Frinton could be ok, plenty of folk on the beaches over the summers and plenty of groynes to hunt. shows ok on the crown foreshaw map.
