Cleethorpes Beach

Post by FERN »

Hi, will the bloke (think ya name was Simon) who spoke to me a couple of times while i was detecting on Cleethorpes beach, get in touch with me if possible, i never gave him my info and he said he may have some land i could go on with him later in the year, im still haven't got any land in Lincolnshire and it was a kind gesture by him, thanks

Hi Fern;

there are some very kind people about. I recently met a chap down in NorthEast Wales and when he learned that I had no land to detect on; he invited me onto some of his permissions.
Not only did I get to keep the coins that I found; he has given me two fistfulls of Georgian copper to practice my coin cleaning on.

yea hopefully i will see him again, i know he uses this forum, but unfortunately me and remembering names don't mix :)
It would be great just to have a couple of fields locally to detect on, but im not gonna hold my breath on permissions :)

hmmmm crops off the fields may be a while yet, some are struggling to get the grass cut for hay its just to wet at the minute, we'll have to get together and find another beach to try, maybe get to Skeg at some point

UKLAD,

Is the beach sanded in at the moment or are there still cuts? Was looking at possibly coming over next week for the day but if the sand is in i will stay in Derbyshire. ::g

Thanks,
Paul...
