Hi Tomo, had a similar day as well about €12 and lots of rubbish,
Then I found a full set of keys with a BMW logo attached, they looked like they hadnt been lost long and on way back to my car I was just walking with my E trac on and got a nice tone...dug about 2 " and pulled out a nearly new i phone which didnt appear to have any water damage.
A guy saw me finding the phone and tried to convince me that it was his but when I offered to phone it from my mobile if he gave me the number he muttered something that sounded like oil tanker :-/ and went on his merry way.
Dropped both off in local cop station on way home so hopefully it will make someone happy :)
Anyway there is always next time,
Ger.

Well done for turning those things in, I have a few very nice letters from owners of things that I have found on the beach and dropped off at the local Police station. Gives you a nice feeling that you have helped someone to be reunited with their belongings.
It's all the Headless Hunters fault !!

Cheers Machinist....as they say...Good Karma breeds Good Karma :)

*EDIT*
I had just replied when my phone rang and a policeman said the phone had just been picked up by its 17 year old owner and that he would like to offer a small reward if I contacted him.
Apparently one of the recording guards looked at the phone and there was an ICE number (in case of emergency) which he contacted and got the owner :D :D
