Hi all,
As you may be aware I’m new to the game of treasure hunting and I would like some advice on which heads are best for relics, gold, coins
I understand the Laser Hawkeye has a coil in the 10 freq and would like to know what is this MD best suited for…will I find more coins with this rather than relics??? Can this MD find gold for instance???
Any info appreciated.
Justin

Hi Justin, I was going to buy one of those last year and then opted for a GMP and a X-Terra 705.
How have you been managing with your Hawkeye? It certainly has some great reviews.
You will know by now that the detector will give a signal on any type of metal and then you need to understand what those signals, either on the meter or the sound, actually mean. It is a lot of trial and error, so practise in the garden to avoid wasting valuable time later on out in the fields or parks, footpaths etc.
This forum has tons of really valuable tips for you and me, from the real experts.
All the best, Liam

The lower frequency machines go deeper on bigger objects and the higher frequency pick up the smaller items like cut hammies and celtic quarter staters but genrelly not as deep.
