13 inches deep :-O thats amazing, Im off to the beach tomorrow I doubt my Garrett Ace 150 will get that deep but I am keen to try your method now, thanks for sharing.

I plan to go to North Norfolk Sea Palling, last time was a total bust with 2 modern coins found in 2 hours, I plan this time to go further up the beach toward the WW2 Defences, fingers X'd
