Hour at beach this morning

Post by 3pinplug »

Hi All
Again visited a section of beach between two groynes in the middle of nowhere where I just keep finding mainly pre-decimal coins, visited again this morning and found:-
1967 old penny, 1919 old penny, 1902 new penny, 1945 half penny, 1987 £1 coin and 1980 2p.
What looks like the end of an old razor, possible end of a pole to grip in the ground???and lump of goldish metal not sure what that is, its in the center at the top?
Have found loads of 1967 pennies there and heres another one (22 now in total) so can only assume they had a big party there towards end of sixties!
Using a C-scope CS4ZX with most finds only at 1 - 2 inches on the wet sand.
Can only assume that due to its remoteness its not been detected before, so really enjoy keep going.

Hi Bainsey
No haven't done the density test, if you think its worth a go i'll try it. My scales only read in 1 gram so will have have to see if i can find some two decimal place ones.
Will let you know how it goes, do you recognise the piece?
